Dear Parents,
This year’s Earth Day theme is Planet vs Plastic, we at
St. Monica’s would like to celebrate it as ‘No Plastic Day’.
Please, do not send any single- use plastics in lunch
kits. Some of the ways to achieve this would be to put
lunch and snacks into multi use containers, water or juice
in reusable bottles. Yes, the lunch kits, food containers
and water bottles are plastic but they are not single -use
ones.
The children who order lunch from the tuck shop should
bring a container with their name labelled on it. No plastic
packaged water or juice will be sold on Monday 22nd
April.
The ultimate goal will be to phase out all single – use
plastic, but we, at S.M.P. can start on Monday 22nd April
by taking our small step.
St. Monica’s Preparatory encourages not just less garbage
but a clean and healthy environment.
