Dear Moms and Dads,

We send this email with some great news and not so great news. Firstly the good news is St. Monica’s has been registered and we are pleased to provide a Brownies update to you: Our unit will be known as 1st Queens Park Brownie Pack; District- Queens Park; Division- West Port 0f Spain. Our meeting days have been approved for Mondays from 2:30pm-3:45pm – Our first Brownie Meeting with our girls will take place on Mon 29th Jan 2024 in the Cultural Centre and courtyard. The girls are to walk with a small drawing book or scrapbook (8inX10ins); their uniforms will not be available at headquarters on Rust Street until the start of February so they remain in their regular uniforms for a week or 2. Now for the not so pleasant news. As the Commissioner and I were filling out the Levy form, the girls of Std.2 cannot be part of Brownies as they are soon to be 9 years or 9 already (cutoff dates and ages were a little conflicting in older Brownie literature we were reading); therefore, they must join the Junior Girl Guides which will be great! We are in the process of registering our Junior Girl Guides so all is well – they will be with our enthusiastic Std. 3 & 4 girls.

In education,

Ann Marie Clarke Principal
